On July 28, 2024, KL Sketchnation had our Annual General Meeting.
Among many other items on the agenda, we successfully elected 12 executive committee members for the year 2024/2025 - a good mix of old and new faces!
Here's a short introduction of each member of the 2024/2025 KLSN Executive Committee:
📌 Ahmad Hakym / Kymio @kymioflario (President): An artist with a Master’s in Architecture, PhD candidate in cognitive psychology, founder of KLSketchnation, and Kymio manages arts and architecture discussions, and recently gave a TED Talk on arts and critical thinking.
📌 Haryth Hilmy @harythilmy (Vice President Internal): A UI/UX Designer specializing in urbansketching and digital illustrations, Haryth is passionate about modern metal music, character design, and exploring artistic processes.
📌 Jakob van Klang @jakobvanklang (Vice President External): A multidisciplinary artist and curator who began his journey during the COVID-19 lockdown, Jakob specializes in oil painting and is curating the Telur Pecah 4.0 exhibition.
📌 Nadine Azman @nadineliy (Secretary): A multi-disciplinary artist inspired by food illustrations and urbansketching, Nadine is a soon-to-be graduate in English Language and Linguistics and a rapporteur and research assistant for hire. 📌 Zikry / Zeekie @z_zikry (Treasurer) : He is a dynamic player with a unique blend of creativity. By day, he designs detailed cityscapes and architectural elements, and by night, he becomes a skilled, daring skater. His dual pursuits in urban design and skating highlight his versatility and dedication to both his profession and passion.
📌 N.A.S @nasransairan (Multimedia Development) : As a KL-based graphic designer, she used drawing as a personal outlet for her thoughts. Her art often reflects elements of San’s life or exists in its own world, alongside random inspirations that come to mind.
📌 Mard @mard5artworks (Event Management) : A passionate art entrepreneur who believes that her inspiration comes from the life itself. Also known as Mardster of Dark Arts for her glow-in-the-dark works and the owner of Thinking On Box Studio, where artists are celebrated for their talent.
📌 Z PWC @doodlesbyz (Archives) : A multidisciplinary artist with over 10 years of experience in visual and performing arts. They use art to address themes like culture, identity and mental health, blending naivety and nihilism in their style. Z aims to connect with others empathetically through their work. 📌 Ilyani Romi @ilyaniromi (Social Media) : A graphic design graduate who loves volunteering and has interest in all kinds of art. As she is still in the process of finding her signature art style, she is now enjoying the process and doing it in her own time.
📌 Ezzatul Amirah @nozingtoday (Content Creation) : The creative mind behind NoZingToday, blends her love for illustration and Multimedia Arts into a unique, vibrant style. Despite pandemic challenges, she uses bold colors to express emotions, capturing her resilient spirit. Her motto, “Sometimes even bright colors are sad,” reflects the depth of her work.
📌 K / Khairini @mywiphealing (Community Service) : A multidisciplinary artist dedicated to fostering community empowerment and wellness through creative expression. I believe creative expression can create beautiful and genuine art that inspires others through its message.
📌Anis Humaira @nshmrshr (Talent Management) : By day, she works in a corporate job, but in her free time, she explores various art forms to express herself. Passionate about sketching and painting, she captures inspiration from appearances and experiences, with a particular interest in abstract and impressionist styles.

Each committee members brings unique talents to lead specific pillars for the upcoming term, embracing new beginnings with teamwork and collective support from other members.
