KLSN Ramadhan Sketch Challenge 2025!

Since 2014, KL Sketch Nation (KLSN) has encouraged artists of all levels to practice sketching, and Ramadhan is no exception! Ramadhan is a time of reflection, discipline, and perseverance—and what better way to channel that energy than through art?

KLSN Ramadhan Sketch Challenge (RSC) is open to public and everyone is welcome to participate, regardless off art style, technique, and tool! As per recent years, the prompt list was developed alongside our members to ensure that participants get to explore a fresh theme each day.

Here are the prompts for this year (which should start on 2 March 2025):

How to Join the #RamadhanSketchChallenge:

✅ Create a daily sketch based on the prompt list.

✅ Post it on Instagram or Twitter with #RamadhanSketchChallenge2025 and #klsketchnation.

✅ Keep your profile public for a chance to be featured!

We will repost five artworks daily on our Instagram (@klsketchnation), so give it your best shot and watch your skills grow throughout the month!

February 2025 Events!

February may be the shortest month in the year, but that doesn't mean we don't have special things planned. We've teamed up with a bunch of creatives this month, and we can’t wait to share the news with you!

Folklore Fair: A Celebration of ASEAN Traditions 🏮🐉

Step into a world of myths and legends at Folklore Fair, an art exhibition inspired by ASEAN folklore and heritage. From Malaysian hikayat to regional myths and legends, KLSN is working with Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL) to bring our region’s rich stories to life.

What can you expect at the event? Aside from the arts exhibitions, there are also booths by collaborators and local artists, storytelling sessions, cosplay competition, forums, and so much more!

Feeling more gamesy? Check out our RPG zone inspired by our regional lore. Play Dungeons & Dragons 5e, Fate Core, Slasher Flick, and even the locally designed Malaysian RPG setting, Kala Mandala, prepared by the cool kids of tabletop gaming @herebedragons.my, @nightshade_tavern_dnd, and @heycentaur!

RPG sessions are in English/Malay (please refer to schedule below) and each session is RM20/head (first come, first served). Interested? Register via this form!
